Planning Technician

Required immediately for private sector land use planning and landscape architecture firm located in Whitehorse, Yukon.

You are a graduate of a recognized Planning Technology, Resource Management or GIS program and have 3+ years of work experience; private sector preferred.

- Solid computer skills including AutoCAD (Map3D 2008), Adobe Photoshop & Microsoft Office; GIS & webmaster skills are assets.
- Above average graphic layout & cartographic skills, demonstrated research and technical writing abilities are essential.
- You understand subdivision design; land use principles & zoning in addition to practical field, air photo & map reading skills, you can accurately record site conditions & land characteristics using GPS & mapping tools.
- You work well both independently and as part of multidisciplinary, multi-cultural team. You are known for your old-fashioned service ethic, take pride in getting the job done right and work well under tight deadlines and within a given budget.
